The liver, the only organ that doesn’t have an outside duct, dumps toxins into the colon for elimination. If the colon isn’t eliminating as it should, the toxins are reabsorbed through the portal vein and back into the liver. Once the client is comfortably positioned, s/he turns on the water flow by turning on the “flow” switch, placed within easy reach. S/he can stop the flow of water at any time by simply turning the “flow” switch off.

The Angel of Water has a special plumbing safety feature that prevents the water from flowing back into the line once it has passed through the nozzle and into the client’s rectum. It uses single-use, disposable sterilized nozzles.

The Angel of Water is what is called an open system. That means that the client can release the contents of the colon and bladder at will, as if on a toilet. In a closed system, only the colon can be evacuated, and the contents flow out through a tube. In addition to being more comfortable, the open system allows for passage of larger waste matter.

During a colonic on an open system, the client, not the therapist, inserts the nozzle into the rectum. The therapist has no physical contact with the client during the entire process.

Our Therapist: Ann Ochs

Ann Ochs has more than 20 years’ experience as a Colon Hydrotherapist. She holds an advanced certification from the International Association of Colon Therapists (I-ACT), is certified by the National Board for Colon Hydrotherapy, and is a certified body ecologist.

Ann’s first experience with colon hydrotherapy began in 1997 as a client when she was trying to heal from serious health issues. Her journey to better health has created a new mindset of reducing the toxic load on the body by eating whole, organic foods, reducing exposure to environmental toxins, reducing overall stress, and cleansing the body on a regular basis.

Over time she regained her vitality, and became passionate about helping others improve their well-being. She has witnessed dramatic changes in physical health, mental clarity, and improved energy and stamina in her clients.

As a certified body ecologist, Ann teaches clients ways to incorporate a natural system of health and healing through nutrition. Some clients want to make major changes overnight, and others want to start slowly by making small changes. Either way, Ann supports and guides them through the process.
